U19 Challenger Series - India A beat Nepal Under 19

The Under 19 Challenger Cricket Series is currently being held at Hyderabad, India and Nepal Under 19 teams has faced second consecutive loss. India A Under 19 team beat Nepal by 107 runs in the One Day match on Wednesday.

Overview

India A Under 19 set a target of 248 runs for Nepal to chase in 50 overs. Nepal, in reply, only managed to get 140 runs in board losing 9 wickets in 50 overs. In this way India A Under 19 team grabbed an easy victory against Nepali Under 19 team by a huge margin of 107 runs.

Talking about players individual scores, Bishal Bikram KC scored highest 71 runs off 126 balls. He scored 11 boundaries in the meantime. Rit Gautam scored 5, Lokesh Bam got out for a duck. Khadak Bahadur Bohara scored 3 runs before he was trapped as LBW. Also, Hari Bahadur Chauhan was out without opening his account and Pratish GC got bowled for 6 runs. Later in the innings, Sher Malla scored 21 off 52 balls. Aakash Chand was not out for 19 runs off 36 balls.

In the bowling side, Sher Malla took 3 wickets whereas Akash Chand picked up 2 wickets. On the other hand, Pratish GC and Hari Bahadur Chauhan grabbed 1 wicket each.

Conclusion

The performance of Nepali Under 19 cricket team seemed to be very poor compared to India A under 19 cricket team (especially in the batting sector). And if Nepal and Team does not work in improving the batting performance, Nepal will get all lost in the series.
