Same as the eastern qualifiers, there will also be western qualifiers. Two teams from both eastern and western region qualifiers will be ascended to the Asia Cup Final Qualifiers. The final qualifiers is scheduled to be held in August.
More about Eastern Region Qualifiers
The Eastern Region Qualifiers for the Asia Cup will begin from February or March (Falgun's 3rd week). There will be 8 teams participating in the Eastern Region Qualifiers that include hosts - Thailand, Nepal, Hongkong, China, Myanmar, Singapore, Malaysia and Bhutan. As reported by Asian Cricket Council (ACC), these 8 teams will be divided into 2 groups. And 2 teams from each group will make into the semifinals. Then the 2 winners of the semifinals will go into the finals and also to the Asia Cup Final Qualifiers that will be held in August 2019.
Nepal's history in previous Eastern Region Qualifiers
Nepali National Cricket Team played the Eastern Region Qualifiers in 2018. Nepal performed exceptionally well in the Eastern Qualifiers with some jaw dropping performance. However, Nepal ended up standing 4rth among 6 countries in the Asia Cup Qualifiers Finals last year.
Everest Premier League (EPL) to be Disturbed
As Eastern Region Qualifiers in set to start in late February or Early March, Everest Premier League's schedule will now be disturbed. The schedule of Eastern Region Qualifiers has not be published yet. But as soon as the schedule will be published, organisers have stated that they will probably be re-scheduling the Everest Premier League.
